Is dinner ready yet?

16 Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action),

17 So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 AMPC

Shalom everyone, this is the day the Lord has made!

Some of us, myself included, like to pray the Scriptural promises of the Lord over ourselves and each other.

This is good, let's keep doing this daily.

Now, are we also praying the corrective and disciplining Scriptures of the Lord over ourselves and each other daily?

Let's reflect on the Passover lamb for a moment.

The Jewish people were to select a perfect lamb, take it into their house and then on the day of Passover kill it.

It was to be roasted whole, over the fire and eaten with bitter herbs, none of it was to be left till morning.

In other words, they couldn't pick and choose which parts of the lamb to eat along with the bitter herbs.

How much more are we to feed on all of the Word of God, not just the tasty bits, the parts that "agree with" our personal doctrines and beliefs.

I am writing this with myself in mind, being the least mature of the Lord's people.

Paul said to Timothy, "Pay attention to your own teaching."

Going forward ask Holy Spirit "What do You want me to feast on in the Word of God?"
